If you have seen any pictures or video of Julia Roberts, you probably know her best role was in the movie “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” as Linda Linus, who played the very sexy and sort of sultry character known as “Echole” in the movie. But what you may not know is that she is also a fan of cute small things, such as Echoe Matthews. Echole is Julia Roberts’ character in “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County”. As a matter of fact, Echole was one of the main characters in the book as well, which explains why many people are unfamiliar with this actress. We will be discussing what Echole is, why she is so beloved, and where it came from.
First, what is Echole? According to Wikipedia, Echole is an American Indian herbal medicine practitioner whose name comes from “ewhile the English called it chole”, which means “wild yam”. Echeole is another form of the name, which means “once spilled”. Echole is an herbalist who uses wild yam herbs to treat small wounds, illnesses, and boobies, as well as other types of cancer.
In this fictional world that Randa Jarrar shows us in “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County”, Echoe Matthews is a character who works with a company called TLC (True Colors Media). Echoe Matthews is one of the characters cast by TLC (True Colors Media). Echole is infatuated with Linda Linus (wife and director), but she is unable or unwilling to approach her due to her large bust. Thus, Echole comes up with the brilliant idea to make Linda jealous by giving her a fake bust that will look like Echole’s own.
Linda discovers about Echoe’s plan only later, when he tells her about how he made his fake bust. Echoe tells Linda the story, explaining why he made it and how it was used in a TV scene. However, he became scared when one assistant asked if it was his. After Echole finishes his explanation, Linda comes out with the realization that her husband does not love her anymore (though she tries to prove otherwise to him). Echole asks Linda for forgiveness and she coldly says no before walking off. This is the first part of the series wherein we see Echole’s personality slowly change towards Linda; however, this doesn’t necessarily mean that he feels love for her; he just wanted to spite her by giving her a fake bust.
Echole and Linda are the focus of the second episode. Echole likes Linda’s appearance and finds it flattering that she acts like a female version. While trying to impress her with his acting skills, Echole stumbles upon the breasts issue, and goes to find Linda to tell her about it, only to learn that she already knows about it because she saw it in the television show. Echoe is angry and disappointed that he found out the truth too late. This fuels the plot to involve him and another woman who is attracted by Echole.
Echole eventually gets his revenge by persuading Linda, the woman who knew about his cheating ways to come clean and make him pay for his actions. But Linda isn’t the only one who ends up getting hurt in the process. He accidentally spilled his drink on Echole during one of the fights with Eli, the other woman. He is unable to stop the waiter from knocking over his bottle of wine. It spills all over the floor. Then the woman he is smitten with walks in and hears him spilling the wine all over the place, much to his shock.
